  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The only addition I want at the moment is a Dash Matt (Dash Cover) but so far, nobody makes one for the Genesis. Bummer. The FL and NM summer heat eats up dashboards. Until I can get one, I will just have to park the car with the front of car away from the sun, both to keep the dash in the shade, and to keep the plastic headlight cover in the shade to keep them from clouding up.

Someday, I will get the mudflaps.

I really hate the way dash mats look in cars, so to prevent damage I put 303 aerospace protectant on my dash once a month and havent had any problems with my 9 year old Lexus GS

Okay, so I'll admit that I'm sitting in a cabin in the north woods with a frozen water pump (meaning no running water...to be more specific...my bathroom just relocated to the aboreal forest outside my door...and it's -20 F), so all this yammering about solar damage to a dashboard are just a WEE bit hard to relate to this evening. Good luck with that, though... For my part, I'm trying not to laugh at the expression my dogs are giving me as I squat in the woods...something along the lines of "see what we do every day, dad?).
