  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey guys, new to forum just purchased a 2013 3.8 sedan tech package. Absolutely love this car so far. She's only got 18,000 miles on it. Mettalic silver.

My question is when I select HD radio on the head unit it will it not show any HD signal and will only play that station it's on(non HD). I can change the channel but I get nothing from any other channels. Once I select HD to off my radio will work as normal. I'm pissed, I love the lexicon system and want to hear better sound quality fr HD stations. There are plenty of stations in my area I'm 30 minutes outside NYC

Maybe your station doesn't transmit HD.

It's always been an English thing like fish & chips.

In NYC we have alot of them. Once I have HD checked I won't even receive non HD stations. No sound at all. Once I uncheck HD all works fine.

Not sure what you mean by 'checking' and 'unchecking' HD. The procedure in my 2012 R-spec is as follows:

Tune in an FM station. If the HD indicator in the upper right corner of the display lights up it indicates an HD stream is available. Push down once on the selector on the console and the radio should show the HD1 signal. Push again for HD2.

Not all FM stations have an HD signal and not all HD signals are working all the time. Nature of the beast.

We don't have any HD signals on the AM band in my market so can't advise on other than FM. Also, I do not notice a big difference (or any difference at all) on HD vs an ordinary FM signal.

Thanks, on the 2013 you have to go to settings then select HD radio. Once I select it that's when my problem occurs.

In that case I am guessing your radio is at fault.
