I'm a bit surprised this hasn't come up before...
I have a new 2010 G Coupe with the touchscreen NAV system. I really love how well it functions for the most part, but there are a few major shortcomings I've noticed and was wondering if anyone noticed them:
1.) No play or pause function on iPod (or in my case iPhone) or CD/MP3 Discs??? Really? What is strange is when I am streaming music via bluetooth from my iPhone, the play/ff/rew buttons appear on the touchscreen, but are useless. However, when plugged in directly through AUX via the cable, they don't appear. Seems like a major oversight/problem to me. The ability to pause a song and restart it is imperative. I just don't get why that function is absent. The same goes for playing a CD/MP3 Disc.
2.) Voice recognition- doesn't work so good. I'd like to think I have pretty clear diction. My Gennie doesn't seem to understand 90% of what I say.
3.) The address book does weird stuff when importing via bluetooth. For instance, it brings the names as last name first. Which is fine except when you want to use Voice Recognition. You have to speak it as last name first plus the first name. And if you are lucky, I mean REALLY lucky, it won't pick the first person from you list of the same last names by default. I have pretty much written off using the Voice Recognition in this vehicle.
If anyone has thoughts or suggestions, I would be happy to hear them.
