  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have an 2010 that every time I decelerate, I hear a "fluttering sound" coming from what seems to be the front right side of the car. It is more pronounced during the morning time but not limited to it. Has anyone experienced this? I cant quite pinpoint the problem but it is driving me crazy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Have you had the TSB done on the prop shaft? Others have described a shuddering or vibrating sensation attributed to the prop shaft being slightly out of alignment, which this TSB is supposed to remedy.

that could be come from the parking brake that is not completely released. Especially when it is cold in the morning. When I hear that in the morning ( first few hundred yards ), I will stop the car, apply the parking brake and release it real quick. Then the noise would be gone. There was a recall for the parking brake before. But I never went to the dealer for the recall, because I wonder their capability to put everything back right. I guess that might be the root of the noise.

Thanks. That same noise and vibration is being felt right underneath the center console.

Try to determine if the sound is from exhaust. Try placing the car in neutral and coasting. That will relieve back pressure a bit. Then carefully try coasting down with engine off in neutral - be careful though to do this on a deserted road as you will lose power steering and some power braking with motor off.
If the sound disappear, the source may be in the exhaust system.
I think this is a warranty issue. It could be a loose core in one of your cats.

The answer is there.
the fix is very easy.

QCTLG,

Thanks much. I took it to the dealer but like always the could not duplicate the problem even though it is getting progressively worse. Sometimes it feels as if the shaft will just fall off the vehicle. Service here in PR is unfortunately horrible. I have been waiting three weeks to get my steering column fixed.
