  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G90 - 156 (1,469)

G90 will handily beat the LS for the year...

LS - 53 (996)

Genesis sales for the month nearly on par with Lincoln (8,134) despite Lincoln being domestic and an all CUV/SUV lineup, but still roughly 3k behind Acura (11,242)

But once you take away sales of the ADX (2,837) and Integra (1,944), models which Genesis doesn't come close to competing on price and which aren't really luxury, Genesis is clearly ahead.

G90 - 1 (9)

Interesting that no GV80s sold last month, but while not saying much, the G90 is not that far off the pace of the A8 which has more powertrain options.

A8 - 2 (12).

Korea - 11,465 (108,715 YTD; -12.3%)
GV60 - 66 (769)
G70 - 148 (1,716)
GV70 - 3,770 (31,733)
G80 - 3,721 (37,828)
GV80 - 3,203 (29,906)
G90 - 557 (6,712)

Grandeur - 6,499 (60,177)
Palisade - 5,124 (55,291)

K8 - 2,569 (25,997)
K9 - 138 (1,411)
Carnival - 5,305 (72,289)

While higher-end, large sedans still sell well in Korea, it's only a matter of time before CUVs/SUVs overtake them (high end versions of the Carnival have long been the go-to "limos").

Doing a Magma version of the GV60 was a waste of resources; that model needs a major overhaul (shape/type of vehicle, powertrain, etc) or else it won't be long for the world.

Tesla - 7,632 (55,594; +95.1%)
BMW - 6,526 (70,541; +4.9%)
Mercedes - 6,139 (60,260; +1.2%)
Volvo - 1,459 (13,388; -1.6%)
BYD - 1,164 (4,955; NA)
Lexus - 1,039 (13,894; +8.1%)
Porsche - 800 (9,739; +29.6%)
Audi - 705 (10,252; +22.3%)
Land Rover - 409 (4,733; +19.6%)
Polestar - 371 (2,884; +500.8%)
Cadillac - 78 (692; +10.4%)
Lincoln - 58 (1,074; -48.4%)

Tesla was the 4th best selling brand for the month and unlike much of the rest of the world, the Korean market is a growth market - largely due to price (too many people make the mistake of saying buyers aren't interested in BEVs; they largely aren't interested in BEVs at their current pricepoint save the ones from China).

Speaking of price, BYD, a new entrant to the market, is already making steady inroads also due to price.

HKG BEVs aren't doing so well b/c they cannot compete with Chinese built BEVs (including Tesla) on price.

Lexus has been making slow but steady progress.

GM has totally squandered its advantage of basically being a "domestic" automaker when it comes to Cadillac, nevermind its Chevy and other offerings; not only being way outsold by Lexus, but even being outsold by Lincoln.

Down year for Genesis in its home market due to increased competition from imports and the aging product lineup and lack of HEVs, EREVs or competently priced BEVs.

Besides the upcoming HEVs and EREVs, Genesis really needs to add another CUVs below the GV80's pricepoint.
