Now Driving Partners Genesis 4.6. Two questions...

My partner is having some health issues and now I'm driving his car on a more regular basis, as it's easier for him to get into it than my sports car. A couple of questions:

1. The steering wheel gets stuck in the 'up' position for a few miles before I'm able to lower it with the little button on the left side of the the stalk. Am I missing something here?

2. When I start the car, the radio comes on at low volume, even though I silenced it on the last drive. Any way to stop that?

Give the steering wheel time to lower before your put the car into gear. When starting the sound system starts up at the last volume setting even if you did mute it.

re#1 - Hyundai had bad limit switches in the tilt steering motors and seats in 2009 and 2010. My old 2009 had both steering and driver seat motors/switches replaced at least once. If they are starting to fail now, they will eventually fail completely. They can be replaced for a few benjamins.

But if you are out warranty and on a low budget, then the cheapest way to prevent them from "sticking" is to disable the easy exit feature (seat and wheel movement when you turn off the car)... and don't use them.
