I bought my GV70 2021 Aug 08. I took my first trip in it 4 days later. 45 mins into the trip my front speakers quit. I played with some buttons to see if switching speakers to rear only and then back to front/rear speakers.…still rears only working. Ditto when I turned the radio off then on. Several miles later the front miraculously started working again. This has happened just one in 8500 kms.
About 10 days later on a smaller trip my gps froze up, with map not following as we drove. It too started working after vehicle was turned off and on a few times. Next was the auto engine off feature when vehicle is stopped. My GV70 has refused to shut the engine off when stopped (Yes I know you have to firmly push on the brake pedal to engage system). This has happened 4 times thus far, the most recent yesterday. On all of these occasions the function rectifies the malfunction on its own.
The next item on my list was on Aug 22 the centre console joystick/ ring stopped functioning. Specifically when in the SiriusXM selection it refused to move the cursor up or down. Again the problem was very short lived and it fixed itself.
Next the drivers seat selection buttons. Specifically when you lightly touch the buttons it normally shows on the 14.5 inch screen which button you are touching and that button’s function. It refused to display the pictographs on the screen. Again short lived with shutting off the car and turning it back in.
I’m interested in if others have had not just electronic problems but in the number of random and multiple afflictions that I am experiencin.
Considering the hopes that Genesis has for the GV70 if these problem become common place and word gets out that the vehicles electronics are glitchy, good luck selling more vehicles.
