  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

October Manual Update Newer than Recent OTA Update

Just hit your brakes hard every now and then and your rotors will be fine. The GV60 is my 4th EV and none of the others had or needed a cleaning mode. They will be fine.

I wonder if the car does this automatically periodically. I’ve never put the car in L0, but have noticed that the friction brakes have engaged during light to moderate braking twice in my 2.5 years of ownership.

The must be some algorithm that invokes the friction brakes, if for no other reason than to occasionally scrape off the rotor rust. My previous Chev Volt had an algorithm that used the friction brakes anytime braking/regen was called for and the vehicle was under 3 mph. It was perfectly smooth and unnoticeable, but did it's job. Also, of course, if you command hard braking, the vehicle will certainly use the friction brakes to provide a minimum stopping distance!
