  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

October Map Update?

I am happy with my 2023 G70. I used to have a 2019 G70 3.3T which I loved. I do miss the great luxury touches/features on my previous GV70. The performance sedans are very different from SUVs, of course. Different strokes for different folks, depending on their needs.
All that matters is you enjoy getting behind the wheel and enjoy the drive!

I have always chosen the standardgen5wnav. I start the car first then insert the usb drive then proceed from there following the instructions. You are able to turn car off while updating which I do.
As far as your first paragraph , I really don't recall now since I don't fool around much with the drive modes.

Yep! Very true.

That info helps. I wasn't sure if you could start the car (vs. going into Accessory Mode) before you insert the USB drive. Thanks!!

Sometimes I am amazed at how fast questions here are answered. (y)

Any use the flash drive successfully? I have the October update on a flash drive sent to me by Genesis.
I downloaded it myself, and zero issues. I used a Sandisk 64Gb USB 3.0 stick, and have done it twice already. Tried a 3rd time, with the supposedly new November update, but both the computer and the car told me it's the same version I already had, so aborted the procedure. By the way, you don't have to go to settings, general, etc.; just insert the USB, and the car will immediately read it, and start installing the software. And yes, you can do it in 'acc' mode, then turn it off when the car tells you to. It took about 50 minutes, if I remember correctly. And I didn't notice any differences from the first update to the second. But when I bought the car in July '23, it still had the ancient version with the 'dixie tubes', so the first update was VERY different.
