  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Yesterday, I started the Gennie at Costco, after shopping for a half hour. The front parking sensors then indicated something was in front of me every time I stopped, regardless of the fact that nothing was there. The problem fixed itself after the car was shut down over night.

Several weeks ago, the navigation system reset itself after driving about 1/4 mile. It worked OK after that. This has happened 3 or 4 times in 14,000 miles.

The silver knob locked up when on XM mode and neither the knob nor the surrounding buttons worked. A quick shutoff and restart did not help. Sitting overnight fixed the problem. Only happened once.

The AFLS has indicated failure several times in broad daylight. Turning it off and on does not help. It comes up OK when the car is restarted.

Anyone else have gremlins like this?

I have a 2009 with the 4.6 Tech package... I haven't seen any of these issues...

I've had the front parking sensors trigger on a few stops/intersections with nothing is in front of me (but a very mild dip in the intersection right in front of me). If I pull up a little it goes away.

No NAV issues as in full reset, but it has, at times, not have the voice command funnctioning for periods of time. I can use the NAV system manually, most of the time, when the voice command is fouling up...

most of the time.

Sometimes with these NAV/SDS/voice command issues shutting the car off and on use to get the car back to normal. Not any longer. The next time it does this I will yank the USB stick in it and shut the car down and see if that is complicating the issue, or not.

Just as "Red Buttons" used to say, .... "Strange Things Are Happening"!

A couple times a week the SiriusXM will reset itself to channel 1. Sometimes I get no sound out of the speakers.... its been a while since this has happened though.

I have a 2009 4.6 with the tech package. My parking sensors have been staying on for a couple of months now. Whenever the car is stopped they appear in the dash viewer. When you take off they disappear. I was into my dealer last week for the navigation update and mentioned to the tech about the sensors. He had it checked out and found one of the sensors in the front bumper was defective. It has been replaced and works like it should now.

yes I have 2010 v8 w/ tech pag. and lost all my phonr book 96 numbers it showed 0/200 in the morning it was back ???? car has 1000 miles on it also the radio had no sound had to shut off and turn on a few times then it worked ??????

My front parking sensors stayed on again last evening coming home. At each stop, they signaled that something was ahead of me (nothing there), then went off as soon as the car moved.

They were OK again this morning. Based on a prior post in this thread, I may have a marginal front sensor.

My front sensors signal every time I stop the car now. The problem has gone from an occasional occurrence a week or so ago to constant now.

It does not beep unless there is a real obstacle in front of the car and the 45-degree indications work OK.

Chances are that at least one of the front sensors has died. I'm due for the 15,000 mile service, so this will be added.

They were clean and they were going off even after the car was washed Friday.
