  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I recently changed from an IPhone 4s to a Samsung Note 3. I decided to keep the old IPhone and use it as an IPod always attached to the USP port. The car has read the music and playlists flawlessly until just recently. Last week I downloaded some new songs from ITunes. I added them to the playlist and then synced the IPhone.

When I plug it back into the car the unit reads the new songs under song title and artist and plays them fine but does not read them in the playlist. I can move other songs around in the playlist and it updates that but it just wont see the new songs. I know they are there because I can go to artist- song and play them individually. I'm not sure what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions?

OK, I will try again. I am using my old iPhone as an IPod. I have made number of playlists so I can group my music into groups of songs that I like to hear. Recently I downloaded several new songs to the IPhone and put them into a playlist. If I disconnect the IPhone and look at the playlists or listen to them on a set of ear buds, the songs show up and play from the playlist. However, when I connect the IPhone to the USB port so I can control it from the car's head unit, the new songs do not show up in the play lists. All the older songs still show up. If I go to artist and then song , I can play them but then I have to scroll around artists and songs for each song. I hope this makes more sense.

I cannot figure out why they show up on the IPhone playlist but are not read by the car's head unit. I have deleted and reloaded them from the playlist several times.
