  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi guys! I'm new to the site and a new Genesis owner. I'm planing to change out my stock HID for 6000k. Am I correct in saying the OEM HID blub size is
D1S? Thank you for your help!

:confused: The HID (High Intensity Discharge) Low Beams have no replaceable bulb that I'm aware of. Do you mean the High Beam Halogen bulbs?

No the low beam :( I want to switch it to 6000k. Thank you for your reply!

yes, you are able to replace your bulbs just like any normal car, except with HID's there are wires attached to a harness/plug connected to the bulb.

So is D1S the right size? And where did you get your 6K bulbs?

Oem sizes can be found in the owners manual or on http://www.sylvania.com. I('m providing the link so you can check any car at any time)
