I recently had to swap all seats in my base model 2013 genesis sedan. Didn't have the opportunity to be choosy for local used seats so ended up with the rear seats out of the premium version which includes rear heated seat option.
Obviously my base model doesn't have the same wiring in place to hook up factory plugs but it got me thinking that its most likely just a 12 volt source to the switch in the armrest which then allows the current to flow through the seats. Is my thinking correct?
By no means is it critical to have them hooked up but if its relatively easy I may think about doing it. Anyone have any experience around this?
Thanks.
