  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is there any risk of increased crankcase pressure using the baffled oil catch cans with fine bronze filter, specially in the winter where there is chance of freezing and clogging the filter?

Good question. Do your best to mix some oil, fuel and water, soak the filter and put it in the freezer. Then try blowing through it. Let us know. Do a Google search.

If your oil freezes in winter you have bigger problems than a catch can.

IIRC the bronze filter is on the return side of the catch can so most of the oil would be trapped in the filter media in the can (if it has any) which is a greater surface area. Should not be a problem.

I got more oil in my CC than I expected after only 5 months so was worthwhile to install in my case.

Yes agree, but there is moisture too in there, not sure what the freezing point of oil water mixture is
