  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi,

I got the p0024/p0025 code.
Replaced the Camshaft Position Sensor and this took care of the P0024.

I would like to change out the VTT coil, but dont know exactly where it is location on the car. P0025 says it's the "B" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 2)

When i look for parts online, there are 4 of them... Intake Left, Intake Right, Exhaust Left, Exhaust Right. I certainly dont want to buy all 4 coils... I just want to buy the right part in pertain to B position Bank 2.

Can you help pinpoint where it is on the car? Once i know the location, i can uninstall it and take pictures before i buy.

Thankyou.

ps. just did a full oil/filter change with Mobile 1 Full Synth... reseted the battery, drove around for about 200 miles, p0025 code appears again...this is why i would like to change out the coil first since it is the cheapest. Thx.

2019...p0024 p0025 came back again.... 2017 fix was to change the oil to 10W30, that fixed it. Now i think i will have to try to replace the camshaft sensors and ocv.

2010V6Tech, thankyou for the pictures. I took a look under the hood...i saw the OCV BK2 pic you posted. I used the 10mm to remove the two bolts..and i was stuck...i dont know what to do after that to take the ocv out.. It seems like the entire head has to be removed in order to get the ocv out...if so, i cant do it....Im not a mechanic saavy at all. I might have to skip this...and try to replace the camshaft sensors first.... Would you mind send me some pics to show where the camshafts sensors are? i know there are 4 of them.... If i stand on the driver side by the fender, i can see one on the back of the block...but i dont even know which bank that is... and i dont know where the other 3 are... If you can, do please teach me. Thankyou.
