    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. oil filter size

Don't use them. Only use the Genesis OEM Filter unless you really want oil pressure and flow problems.
 
From what I've read, Hyundai has top quality oil filters. While under the 100,000 mile Powertrain Warranty, I'd follow Spanky61 and use only OE filters.

Agree. Normally I'd say any name brand filter would do, but. . . there have been some reports of problems in the past. The genuine filter is not that expensive so not worth the risk.

ON any newer vehicle engines that have cartridge filters it is best to use OEM filters.
 
I would stick with the OEM filters. Hyundai does use a good quality Mann filter, so no reason to risk any fitment/quality issues by going aftermarket. Plus the filters cost only about $7-$10 depending on where you buy them. Well in my area at least.
