It's too late now (I would have ordered anyway), but doesn't the Genesis have a oil life monitor like 10 year-old US cars??
Big +1. This is one of the things I miss in my Genesis. Every other car I have driven in the past 20 years has had one. Some were better than others, and all of them were better than nothing.A good oil life monitor is much better than most driver's "guessing" at when it should be changed or following an arbitrary mileage distance. Both the 2003 Explorer and 2003 Vette have them and their programs take into consideration a bunch of stuff including # of starts, max rpm used, as well as mileage, and ambient temps.
Plus I can forget about keeping track of when I need to change oil again. The DIC tells me.
The Genesis comes with half of the system, an odometer. You must purchase the other half, a calendar. Six months or 7500 miles.![]()
