  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I may be wrong, but I think "ok Google" only works when you've got Android Auto enabled/connected....not just Bluetooth.

OK google voice command has nothing to do with android auto. When I say ok google my phone wakes up . but when I am connect to genesis , my microphone is turn off for some reason. This always worked in my infinity.

It's probably because the G70 has a voice command button on the steering wheel to enable speech controls, which in turn bypasses the "ok Google" function and/or the passive phone microphone features, unless Android Auto is turned on, then when you say "ok Google" it will show up on the nav screen, and act just like when your phone is on its own. Using the voice command button enables many of the same features as "ok Google" without having AA turned on, and only being connected to the car via Bluetooth.

I don't use "ok Google" that much anymore. But next time I'm driving I'll try it and see if mine does the same thing (I'm pretty sure it does.)

Okay - just now tested this and it works perfectly. I don't know what you're doing differently than me. Bluetooth is on, and the audio in the car is set to Bluetooth as if to listen to music, then just said "okay Google" and it comes up just like it always does.

I assume there is something in your phone settings that is different.
