  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

just had it a few days. its nice. lush but concerned with mpg. I shouldn't complain about mpg if im driving a 5.0 right ? well lets just say i kinda stumbled into it lol. it was a great lease price....or at least I think it is.

what kinda mpgs are u 5.0 owners getting? i drive it mostly on eco mode and throw it into sport mode when I feel like a stud.

I have a 5.0 and driving back & forth to work in ECO mode in mixed highway and city driving I get around 20mpg regularly. I use Sport mode on the on/off ramps on the highways and when I have red light hole shots or just need that extra power to pass someone. On road trips we get on average 24mph... See additional info in the link below.

Regarding the 5.0, you won't see improved gas mileage until your engine is broken in (600+ miles). At around 1000 -1500 miles you will see noticed mileage improvements as well as your exhaust note will change and be a bite throatier.

Yeah, I'd have to say that if you have the 5 liter - mileage shouldn't be of concern, regardless the lease price :)

That being said - if you got such a good deal on the 5 liter - imagine the deal you could have gotten on the less expensive 3.8 - even at AWD....

and THEN you would have a car you could be concerned with the mileage on. :)

City- about 15 mpg
Hwy- about 26 mpg
Overall- about 20-21 mpg

I noticed too, that if you don't pack in the fuel after it clicks off, it is within about 1/2 mpg of the computer reading. This is a lot closer than in my previous cars.

thanks your research is really helpful. 20mpg average is pretty good for 420 horses at your disposal.

ya it was a lease on a demo. ya ill take the 5.0 as long as i get 20 to 21 mpg for 420 horses. Ive never had a car with more than 320 horses.

my former 3.8 that i returned to the dealer was showing about 22 to 23 mixed.
