  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

...sorry guys, but I'm not still 100% sure on all this.

I just bought a 2010 Genny and from what I can tell, it's loaded balls to walls.

The iPhone/iPod cable came with the car, still in the box but obviously, it is the wrong end for my iPhone 5. So screwing around yesterday on here I saw everyone posting up about the lighting connect from apple, but when I went a googled that and looked on Amazon and apple, people were saying that it didn't work with the iPhones for transferring music, it just charged.

Now these reviews people never stated the car they had or just said that didn't play music when they docked it with their home stereo.

So with a little more digging, I found this....[ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E4RULKE/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]Amazon.com : Zeimax AUDIO SUPPORTED ADAPTER 8-pin/3.5mm to 30-Pin iPhone 5, iPod Touch, iPod Nano (Black) : Electronics[/ame]

Now this does have a FM transmitter in, but I was wondering would work with our cars?

If this isn't right, and I should just buy the lighting let me know so I can reorder.

Also if all this works, what can I expect to see on my screen when I switch over to my iPhone?

Thanks.

Get the Apple 30-pin to Lightning adapter. I recommend the corded version versus the dongle. That works perfectly with the Hyundai iPod cable.

OK cool thanks. I figured I bought the wrong thing. So at the end of the day, what will show up on my screen and what will I be able to do with the iphone connect?

The phone will upload its playlists and songs lists to the car. You will be able to browse through your library using the car's screen and choose to play your music.

I bought a black one. Debated on whether or not I should get black because it does get hot ( I live in FL) and it IS harder to keep clean. Didn't want white, didn't like the "grey" color from Hyundai so I just park it in the garage most of the time and when it rains - I park it in the drive way!

Just kidding :)

^^^??? Me think op posted on wrong thread.

I have an iPhone 5 as well and am debating purchasing a Lightning adapter and Hyundai iPod cable. Has anyone on here been able to compare the sound quality on the Lexicon stereo (top of the line Lexicon stereo with Tech package) using the Hyundai iPod cable and Lightning adapter versus just a standard aux cable (the cable that has a headphone jack on each end)?

I am curious if the music on my iPhone 5 would sound better on my Lexicon stereo using the Hyundai iPod cable with a Lightning adapter as opposed to just a standard aux cable, which is all I have right now.

Use the adapter with no trouble. Only way it will work.

Happy to report no problems here with the lightning connector and iPhone 5. Plug it in, it charges, I can stream music, and even control through the radio. only thing is it doesn't show what is playing on the screen, but I figured that was gonna happen.
