  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Only if Genesis had coach doors

Those would be outstanding!!!👍🏻

I seriously looked at the Lincoln Continental when buying my car . I finally settled on the genesis 3.8 ultimate (loved the genesis more) .

But its sad that Continental is not doing well in USA . There are rumors that Ford might stop production since its not selling . Its is a very good car for its price (specially in used car market)

Yes. As I recall, it was one of the most popular cars in the USA for a few decades.

On the other hand, I'm of a mixed mind on the subject of coach doors. Looks pretty bad-ass in this instance I have to admit; but I'm unsure how it would look for the Genesis.

Dealers in my area would often take cars in trade and swap them to that brand dealer. If the Chevy dealer took a Dodge in trade, he's give it to the Dodge dealer that could get a better price. The Caddy dealer took a Continental in trade, but the Ford/Mercury dealer did not want it because it was hard to sell.

The current gen Continental is a far cry from the quality level I expected from Ford, given the history of the model. Ride quality is like being in a tin can and the seats just don't sit well. My back felt out of place after 10 minutes driving one.

From what I read the suicide door Lincoln cost's $110K. No way in hell would I spend $110K on a Lincoln! But is does look nice!

When I lived in CT there was a shop that specialized in Lincoln parts and restoration. He shipped a lot of the suicide door models to Saudi Arabia years ago. They had a fire recently and not sure if still in business, but last time I went by there were a couple in his yard if you want one.

I dig lol not going to buy a Conti though. Something about the read-end makes me sad.
