  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

This discussion will serve as a quick and easy way for Genesis Motors executives to gauge interest and help make decisions moving forward.

As a GV70 driver, you should state exactly what you'd like to see enhanced, added, and/or omitted from your Genesis GV70.

Any posts that don't stick to the subject matter will be moved elsewhere.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
#1 tie the key FOB's to the seat/mirror controls on the door + the Driver Profile
#2 option to make the HUD display the current speed ONLY
#3 re-calibrate the volume control, shouldn't have to turn it up to 30 just to begin to hear the music
#4 add the battery level & charging voltage to the options available in the center section of the binnacle
#5 make it so that the hood/fender gap is less noticeable
#6 allow more engine noise
#7 give the exhaust a more 'sporty' tone and sound level or at least offer it as a dealer installed option
#8 make the US trailer hitch the same as the one deployed in the EU (far less obvious !!)
#9 bring back the option to select plain, old school 'cruise control'

For the EV:

1.allow the ability to save the drive mode you were last using, such as if I want to start in Sport mode, it will save that and start in sport mode.

2. when i start the car, i would like it to save the amount of battery regeneration i was using during last drive. its not THAT difficult, but it would be nice not to have to select so many things every start up. maybe its user error on my part, but i have a driver profile setup so i assume it autosaves.

3. ability to disable RAN-C, aka ANC signal/module.

4. auto walk away door locking like the Tesla has.

5. auto open foot swipe feature under lift gate. i realize there's a smart open for the trunk lid but i find it annoying and has gone off when im working around in the garage while i had the keys in my pocket. i guess i could take my keys but i like having them on me all the time.

such an amazing car though.

1. Please make it possible for rear door handles to lock and unlock the doors,
2. Let the front passenger seat also have Ergo Motion,
3. Let the rear seats also be ventilated,
4. Add power assisted opening and closing of rear privacy screens,
5. Give the Electrified GV70 more range without sacrificing power/torque (in fact, make it even more powerful please),
6. Add 1-2 additional inches of leg room for the 2nd row.

#2. Reduce the road noise on the Sport Prestige trim level
#3. Allow the roller volume "button" to change the voice level of navigation directions

All good things. What do you think it would do to the cost? Especially adding the leg room.

The KIA EV6 refresh will have an 84.0 kWh battery, and the refreshed GV70 electrified may also include the same battery. We will have to wait until they release the details on the refresh electrified GV70 to see if it will have the bigger battery, too.

#1 Allow digital speedometer to switch between MPH and KPH...it's DIGITAL what's the problem?

Move engine oil filter to bottom of engine near the drain plug where it should be on the 3.5T.

Unlock/lock doors with all door handles.

Auto walk away door lock.

Ergo Motion for the front passenger seat.

Heated and ventilated rear seats.

Remember last settings used (engine auto start/stop, drive mode, auto bright headlights).

Wireless phone charging pad on the backseat center armrest pull down (per my grandson).

Not having to pay extra for all season mats and cargo liner.

Lower fog lights on front end.

Keeping the separate 3D digital cluster and nav screen (hate the trend of big screens across the dash in upcoming autos).

The above is just me nitpicking as I LOVE the GV70. Although, that huge screen across the dash is probably a deal breaker for me. The Genesis interior was one of the main selling points for me. That huge screen ruins it, IMO.

It'll cost more. But will still cost way less than the Macan Turbo EV. Lol

I actually like NOT having personal settings on the key fob - It's always annoying when my wife and I both have our keys and the car doesn't know which key to read.

Changes:
1) have turning headlights (or at least side lights that come on when turning)
2) when turning the car on, have the default be the radio screen (or least have this option) if this was left on. That warning screen is very annoying, and so is having to navigate to the radio after starting the car.
3) agree with all doors control locking/unlocking

I can confirm in the 2025 MY [Canada], the audio volume calibration is better. For example while using Android Auto, 13 is as loud as the old ~40.

This is my wish list:

1. Keep the traditional separate, full digital gauge cluster (too late for this one I guess :()
2. Enlarge the centre console haptic buttons. Tiny buttons are distracting to find while driving.
3. Seat ventilation could be stronger?
4. Wirelass Android Auto / Carplay. I hear it's coming.
5. Reduce clutter in the app's UI and pick less tacky images for the login/welcome screen. I don't want to see a random guy's dress pants and shoes every time I open the app Lol [Not sure if the USA app is the same]
6. Reduce the amount of beeping for different reasons, especially when you want to get out of the vehicle temporarily and it's not fully off. I think alert fatigue can decrease the efficacy of those warnings that actually matter.
7. When indicating & blind-spot camera feed is on, it should not be overlaid with another info screen if the driver changes drive mode or windshield wiper speed in the mean time.

Below is my wish list for the electrified GV70. I will be leasing another electrified GV70 next year.
  1. Bigger battery with more power.
  2. Exterior color Mauna Red (offered on the Korean market)
  3. Built-in cam recorder package (provided in the Korean market)
  4. Augmented reality navigation (provided in the Korean market)

Front passenger seat should have same range of adjustment (including thigh extender) as the driver seat, as well as Ergo Motion.

Likely have to wait til next generation model, but more rear passenger space (along the same lines, have a less sloping roofline to maximize not only headroom, but cargo space) - as passenger space is key for NA and Korea, the 2 largest markets by far for Genesis.

While there is a report of the GV70 getting an EREV powertrain good for 125 mi of electric range (probably closer to 100 mi on EPA testing), still crucial to offer a standard hybrid (2.5T HEV), as an EREV with its larger battery will be pretty pricey in comparison.

get rid of the finger print reader, it does not work well. At best it is 50/50 if it works and in the Winter with gloves on it will be an issue. Have the user profile set in the key fob like other cars, simple and it works far better.

1 - User profile on the Key fobs
2 - Rear door unlock from outside handle just like the front doors
3 - The radio should be the default on the display when you start up the vehicle
4 - Hybrid engine option
