ORDERED MY GENESIS 4.6..Have lots of questions

Hello All,

I've just placed my order here in Toronto, Canada for the 4.6L Genesis. It'll take 2months to deliver from Korea. I would like some input on how i can get the hyundai H emblem switched to the genesis winged emblem? Also on the hyundai.com website I notice that you can custom your exterior and interior colours, however here in Canada my option are preset http://www.hyundaicanada.com/Pages/buildprice/step3_colour.aspx basically sucks ass for me. i would like a platinum exterior with Cashmere Leather interior, since the interior in more important for me , I picked the Cabernet Red Pearl as my first color, which the dealer told me would take two and half to 3 months deliver because they haven't started painting in that color as of yet. Is my dealer bullshitting me? Why are they so many differences between Canada and U.S when the car is being built and shipped from Korea?

Also i would like to know since we're north America, why in the states the 4.6 is 10GRAND cheaper than Canada.

On hyundaicanada genesis website there is no mention of the 40GB HD, and I only get 3-month trial of XM Satellite Radio, compared to the states 1yr.

Also, once you get your VIN, PM it to me and I will see if I can track the status of your car. For all cars destined for the US, I can see if they are at sea, at rail, at port, on a truck or in dealer stock. I am not sure if it will work for Canadian VINs, but I will try.

The hard drive and 1yr XM are only in the tech package. Base models get the 3 month free trial.

I'd say they are BS-ing you on the colors.

I can confirm RayRay's comments. I too just ordered a 4.6 w/tech package in Toronto. They say 8 weeks for delivery from Korea, but will provide me with a car if it hasn't arrived by the end of my lease in January. I ordered titanium and the dealer could'nt confirm the trim. I believe it will be black seats with saddle leather dash trim. We don't have any choice of interior colors and we only get 3 months of XM Sattelite even on the tech package. Canada seems to be a backwater in the eyes of Hyundai.

yes, they are bs'in you. i work at a hyundai dealership and cabernet is avail.. why wouldnt they just dealer exchange instead of making you wait 2 mons.??

thanks, im in chesapeake, va which is basically virginia beach area. whats funny is we just had a truck drop off two genesis. one 4.6 with tech (cabernet red) and white 3.8 with tech. im very knowledgeable on this car so if any of you have any questions hit me up and ill be more than happy to answer em'.

Sheesh... The whites can't come quick enough for the 4.6 :-\
