We have a 2023 GV60 and had been doing all our charging at home using a standard outlet. After not using the home charger for about a month while we were traveling and therefore using fast chargers outside the home, we went to plug in and it's completely dead — nothing. We brought the charging cord with us, but didn't use it while gone.
Curious if this is a known issue or if anyone else has run into this. We've tried different outlets at home and the car is fine with fast chargers, so maybe its charger itself, or something else? Any tips or solutions would be hugely appreciated!

added - we tried another level 2 charger at home and that failed too.

Sounds like another ICCU failure to me. DC charging = OK. AC charging NG. Contact your Genesis dealer. Peter.

Thank you - I've been digging around online, and this is what I'm thinking too. I looked back at our service records and it says that in Jan of 25 they did warranty work: "vcc limp home enhancement" and "DTC Check & Iccu SW update" - not sure if those are related or not but seems like its a known issue. Just curious if anyone else noticed this prior to their ICCU giving out entirely.

can you find an L2 charger to verify? E.g. not a DCFC/fast charger, something along the 5-7kW range (and not your L1 charger). Hopefully just a bum L1 that came with the vehicle (I assume from your description), but yes - can't avoid it possibly being the ICCU.

In his first post he did say he tried another L2 charger and got the same result.

I seem to recall reading one or two previous stories of perfectly working cars getting the ICCU failure shortly after having the ICCU fw update done.
Could it even be that the ICCU FW updates (which are meant to reduce the failure likelihood) could actually increase the risk of unit failure?? Peter

I agree there is probably an issue with the BMS/ICCU.

Just got a call from the dealer. Yep ICCU problem. Will see what they propose in terms of timeline. We've had a gas guzzling loaner car for a week already.

Yikes! Not the best of times to be forced into buying gasoline.

My ICCU failure had the same symptoms of the AC EVSEs not being able to deliver a charge. DC charging was not affected as it does not rely on the ICCU. When my ICCU failed there was a dead short which was detected as a ground voltage leak by the EVSEs. They shut down as designed. Unfortunately it damaged the relay in my pricey level 2 EVSE. If its of any relevance it only took my dealer a week to get the new ICCU. That was a couple of months ago.
