  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all. I just purchased a 2010 Genesis V6 Sedan with nav (no tech package) and am totally in love with my car. The only thing I would like to see on my display is the current outside temp. I know if I press any of the AC buttons, it will pop up at the top of the nav screen. Does anyone know how to make this a constant?

Thanks all!

I thought they all showed outside temp.

It does, but only for a few seconds. I'd like it to be permanent on my display. Not sure if there is a way to make this happen though.

If you don't have the Nav option, then the outside temp displays all the time. But on your car there is only one screen and you either get Nav or the other stuff.

Thanks Mark. Not a deal breaker by any means, but would have liked it to be a fixed feature!

Do you have the touch screen navi? If you do I have been trying to figure out how to keep the temp along with the other HVAC display up without hitting one of the buttons.

Yes, I have the touch screen nav and would like to see the outside temp displayed at all times. Right now it will only come up when I press one of the temp buttons and it disappears a few seconds later.

Wish I could help you with the touch screen nav. All I can say is that on the upgraded nav system (tech package) it shows all the time. Usually on the lower left.

I would like to see the outside temperature displayed all the time as well. Mine only appears when you make a change to the AC/heating/fan controls.

I regard an outside temperature control as a safety feature for winter driving. It is extremely useful to know when the temps start to hover near freezing!

Any way to lobby Hyundai for a programming change to make the outside temp display permanent?

Sure, sell your car and buy one without Tech Package. Outside and inside temps display all the time.
