  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Got a p0709 code (transmission range sensor) after my dashboard lit up with BDS,Lkas,Epb, and check engine light shortly. I start car and might get it to drive first time but upon putting back in park
The shifter locks up, when shifting back up there is delay in engagement and shift indicator on dash goes blank.
Told it could be bad wiring, the sensor itself,
Or position of sensor shifted. I have to see if it’s accessible and an external TRS.
Has anyone else had issue?

I'm having this issue right now on my 2015 5.0. Its the same as you stated. Any luck with a fix for you yet?

Hello, just wondering if anyone has figured this out yet? I have run into this issue as well, but my car is throwing a code P0705 Transmission Range Sensor A Circuit. I found another thread with this code and gave a part number 427004E100 to replace and its easily accessible. I have one on order and hopefully that does the trick. At the moment, the only way to get past this is to either completely unhook the battery (pos & neg), but later found out if you unplug the top black connector on the fuse panel directly on the positive terminal of the battery, that ends up resetting it for a little bit.

My range sensor needed repositioning. There is some sort of adjustment that can be made to the positioning of the sensor on the side of the transmission. I'm sorry I cannot be more specific than that. I started receiving this issue after a transmission rebuild. After the adjustment, no more error codes.
