  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone know the best way to fix something like this. Will the genesis touch up paint pen work well? Has anyone got pics of before and after if they've used the pen?20190920_155539.webp

So it's an actual scratch, meaning you can feel that it's dug into the paint, or is it paint from another car that can be buffed off with say a Mr Clean Magic Eraser?

I posted elsewhere about the touch up paint pen I bought this week. The pen comes with two ends, one with paint and the other with clear coating. Each end has a soft foam tip that, when pressed, drops paint into the felt tip. The package comes with a hard plastic tool, with a point at one end and a flat tip at the other. This tool is as big around as a ball point pen spring. To repaint chips or other locations that the foam tip would be too large the paint can be put onto a tiny pool on a second surface using the felt tip and then one dips the plastic applicator into the small pool of paint. Always test on an inconspicuous location. The paint pen is small and there must be a small, small amount of paint in it. At 26$+tax, take care.
If there were a small bottle with applicator/small brush I would prefer that but I did not see it in my cursory search before I went with the dealer due to concerns about color matching. New brands have these problems.

Dr Colorchip is a thousand times better. Check out the website. You have much better control of the precise
area you cover with the ability to erase collateral areas you may have covered.

Omg, it was just paint from another car I think, it's starting to rub right out. Thank you so much

Glad to hear that. I recommend using meguiars scratch-x to get it all off, then wax it after. I wouldnt recommend a mr clean magic eraser on your clear coat.
