  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a few very small nicks in the black exterior trim on my 2013. Generic gloss black a good match for paint?

It's a good match for black paint!

I recommend getting a higher quality spray paint from an auto store as opposed to the $1 a can stuff from WallyWorld.

My Sonata has sat in the sun for 10 years so I've gotten quite skilled at touch up of this sort.

For small scratches, wouldn't one of the touch up pens be okay?

Most likely - and if the scratches are small enough, one of the "scratch out" polishing compounds might work.

One day, a kid drove a skate board into the side of my car, and it looked like new after polishing with scratch remover.
