  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a small issue I need advice on. Center front park assist icon lights and beeps right after start up and continues until car goes into Drive. After that slowing to stop recreates issue as well, and then it stops at 3-5 mph. I've cleaned front bumper twice, looked under, as best I can for anything that looks adrift. Is this a normal condition I have just noticed and not an issue?

I had it early on and it just went away on its own. It's been so long ago, I forgot I had the problem.

I hope that isn't the only explanation for this. By the way, on a 3000 mile trip to SD and central NYSE, at 75mph, finished Tuesday, the R-Spec averaged 25 mpg...what a road car.

But does anyone else have an opinion or solution to the errant center park assist light?

My gas mileage continued to improve from 10,000 to almost 16,000 miles now. I get 22 mpg city/hwy with fairly aggressive driving, and have gotten close to 30 under ideal conditions (70 mph and cruise control). It's a great road car, all right.

The park assist self-correction was as illogical as when it occurred in the first place. I can't figure it out. Perhaps someone else has an explanation. Good luck!

My front park assist indicator would also remain on (without beeping, however) intermittently; I took it to the dealer and they replaced one of the sensors.

To the dealer she'll go when I return to FL next week. Regarding mileage, car hit 11,500 on the current leg of trip.

I have had the same problem with two front sensors. Both replaced under warranty.
