Parking Brake

For some reason the parking brake light is lit sometimes when i start the car until I switch out of Park and some others its not. Im not engaging it. Its driving me crazy because i think it has something to do with opening and closing the trunk or how i unlock the car...anyone have any ideas? I dont see anything in the manual. Of course it could just be broke but doesnt do it consistently.

according to the manual the auto hold will automatically switch on the parking brake when the driver's seat belt is unfastened and the driver's door is opened

Noticed that also on my 16' Ultimate,so long as it goes off when shifting to dr.or revs. Not worried about it!!
