Parking in a garage

Is it ok to park the G70 in a garage with the windows open but not locking the car? The reason I ask is because when I do that, I notice a little orange light on between the 2 over head lamps by the rearview mirror. This light will remain on unless I lock the car either with the key fob or by pushing the door button. Just curious if anyone knows what that light means? I don't want to be intentionally draining my battery.

I park in my garage, don't lock it, but don’t normally leave windows down either. Will have to try that this week to see about the lights you mention. I have left sunroof open but don’t recall any orange lights with that.
