  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

In the past 3 months or so, I have been stopped behind a "newest" model Lincoln MKX and my parking sensors started beeping a couple of times (slowest beep). First one side then another, didn't seem to be a pattern. Stopped when traffic started moving. Never happened before and my sensors have quiet unless they were actually needed.
Anyone else run into this sort of thing?

Yeah, I get that with a lot of cars.

Parking sensors emit ultrasonic frequencies that bounce off objects and is picked up by your car. Your car is just picking up what the car ahead of you is emitting.

Doesn't happen when you're going a decent speed because they should only come on while you're moving slowly or stopped.

I get this problem too. I'm not sure why parking sensors should come on when you're stopped.

Perhaps it is the front sensors showing how close you are to the car in front of you. It happens to me anytime I get too close to the car in front of me when stopped.

I've experienced the same intermittently. Lately my parking sensors have been intermittently but working at all. Sometimes I have to put it in reverse then drive then all of the sudden the sensors are working. Anybody else experience this?

I've had the same problems, and attempted to try and get it fixed but due the problem being spurious it's never worked out. Hyundai Service keep saying we can't replicate it :(

Check the switch on the console. it sometimes is turned off inadvertently.
