  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just a FYI.
I almost crunched the corner of my baby today parking at the airport in my normal spot. For some reason, I shifted into neutral and coasted into the spot against the wall of the garage.
I park in that spot every week, and inch forward until the sensor shows a color change from yellow to red. That puts me about 12" away, and as far from the next space as possible.
I started feeling uncomfortably close to the wall and the sensors did not indicate or make a peep.
I almost found out the hard way that the sensors are not enabled when the car is in neutral or park.
I put my foot on the brake and shifted to D and the sensor went crazy and showed red on the screen. Shifted back to N, no sound.
I haven't touched the sensor disable button since I bought the car

Just thought i would pass it on just in case.

The sensors only work when in drive/reverse. Good thing you didn't coast too far :)

Don't know about the Gen2, but with the Gen1 I've found it easy to accidently hit the sensor button while fumbling for the auto-hold button to turn it back on, since Hyundai decided that it needs turned off everytime I shut the car off. :-(

I wish we had the 5 mph front camera like the KDM models have. (and the "look down" rear camera)

Oh well, can't have everything..
.
I always leave my parking sensors on. (hardly ever use the auto hold feature)

Almost found out the expensive way.
Won't be coasting again
