  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
2G Genesis Sedan (2015-2016)
2015 Genesis 3.8. When I apply the brakes, the passenger side (trunk lid) tail light does not light up. However, with the night lights are on, it lights up until I apply the brakes. I replaced the entire tail light assembly and the problem persists. I don't think its a fuse since that would disable both tail lights right? Forbid, it's an electrical or possibly a computer problem. Any other suggestions I can take to isolate this challenge is sincerely appreciated!!! Thank you comrades, Stix!

I found a work around for the brake light that was out. See my post from 5-24-21.

Could be just a bad brake light bulb. I think those bulbs have two elements, one for brakes and one for just lighting.

Correction: I forgot our models have LED taillights. Crap; this makes burn-out tailights more expensive to fix.:(
