  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

'13 r-spec....twice over the past 5 days the passenger side taillight stopped working. I dont know if the light failed to turn on when I put the headlights on or it just went dead while driving. Both times i was informed by other drivers that my taillight was out.

Im not sure if the brake light was out also but the whole taillight itself was out. By turning the headlight switch completely off and back on solved the problem.

I read the thread about "no brake lights" and found the TSB about replacing the faulty diode but does that TSB apply to the taillight also or just the brake lights?

Btw, i hate the service from the dealer. I do all my service intervals myself and if this TSB with the diode does apply, Ill gladly change it myself. Because we all know when we experience problems on the street and then the dealer has to reproduce the problem, it rarely happens in their possession. grrrrrrr
