Pay $$ for Carplay???

I just performed the update for my father's 2015 Genesis 5.0 with the regular smaller screen. Just googled the instructions and had no issues. Both Android Auto and Apple car play work seamlessly. I did this maybe 5 weeks ago.

do you still have the download so others can do it, as the DL is no longer available.

Five weeks ago the free download was already unavailable, so it likely was the VIN-specific paid Mapnsoft update.

Mapnsoft posted on their site that version 13 was being released late April so they pulled 12.5.

Yes, it is not done yet. They put them out quarterly. Updates to POIs come in about daily.

Been fighting this battle for two weeks with blue link (also purchased 2016 CPO two weeks ago as well). Received a call from the higher ups that the engineers said you have to call apple to approve the carplay. It's is no longer supported only Android Auto. Blew my mind and just purchased the newest mapnsoft. Now I have Carplay and loving it; Just with a lighter wallet haha

If you get a breakthrough let me know so I can fight too for a reimbursement!

With this map upgrade, does it help with the graphics of the map at all? I just purchased a 16 genesis a week ago and not having Apple CarPlay is a big deal! I work for Chevy and my gfs Colorado we got has it and I love it. So knowing I could get it for my genesis was deff a big deal.

Yes it does, it makes the map 3D, as well as, it shows most buildings outlines in major cities.

Awsome thanks. Soon as I can get it registered with Hyundai, I’m having the hardest time with them. Can’t even get blue link activated yet

a lot of people who purchase CPO or used have this issue, they have to remove the active account from the system and for some reason it takes forever and if the account was inactive for more than a year it appears to require a new headunit to work. Lots of threads about it on this forum.

In real world terms, it's basically only good for the eligibility to buy a CPO extended warranty. My guess is the CPO checklist is flown over with an ink pen and everything checked off as "good" or "done" by a 16 year old and the car is stuck out on the lot. But the warranty part is good if you plan on keeping it. Oh, and they get to charge you more for a CPO and have that extra cost be justified in their minds.
