  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I recently installed the aluminum pedals from Amazon for the Gen2 2015 Sedan 5.0 along with the pedal commander. Anyone have performance numbers that show best setting for 0-60 or 0-100? It seems like the Sport + mode is too extreme but maybe I'm overly sensitive.

The best 0-60 time I got on my 2015 5.0 was 4.6 seconds in ECO mode without the Sprint Booster activated, however the road was not completely flat(the road had some dips and rises) so the time could be quicker or slower on a flat track. I do have twin performance K&N air filters and use 93 octane gas which may account for the strong performance over stock.

I did not do a current 0-60 run with the Sprint Booster activated due to increase police present in my area with clear roads. However, I may try now since the roads on my way to work at night are fairly clear now due to COVID-19 restrictions and police present seem to be minimum now.

Here is my last attempt without the Sprint Booster in ECO mode (no wheel spin)on a typical street I drive on.

Interesting. I don't have any performance metrics myself to go off of and I know everything may be unique to the individual vehicle. What tires are you running? I have Continental DWS06's and I also use 93 octane + K&N filters

The Sprint Booster video says it not only makes the throttle more sensitive but more importantly opens the throttle body faster. What is your experience? Does the car jump off the line quicker?

I am running Falken Azenis FK510 high performance summer tires.

The only other metric I found for stock 0-60 times on the 2015+ 5.0 V8 is from magazines which is usually 5-5.2 seconds when performed using the less grippy older Hankook all-season tires(not highly rated) that was first installed on the 2015 5.0 models and 91 octane fuel.

I have learned that the best times for my car is obtained by keeping wheel spin down which is hard with all season tires due to traction control cutting power or wheel spin if the traction control is deactivated. Believe it or not, ECO mode gave me my best 0-60 times(and feel) due to a perfect launch without excessive torque in stock form and with the Sprint Booster activated especial with sticky summer tires.

The Sprint Booster does make the throttle more sensitive in my opinion. My car leaps off the line with only pressing the gas pedal halfway with the Sprint Booster set to race level 9 and the Genesis drive mode set to Sport. Feels like a Race/Track mode that many other performance cars have. However, it is a good and bad thing to have the throttle set that sensitive. Good for straight line acceleration on the open roads, but bad for commuting in traffic since the throttle is so twitchy and hard to moderate.

However, I found that leaving the Genesis in the ECO drive mode with the Sprint Booster set to race level 9 is a good economy/sporty hybrid mode that has a less aggressive pedal input in traffic with the same ECO fuel economy. Yet, when you give it gas it still move quickly off the line while being as quick as the stock Sport drive mode. Therefore, I usually just keep my Sprint Booster activated in race 9 and the Genesis in ECO mode all the time unless I need to out merge some quicker cars on the highway exit; in which I just put the Genesis in Sport mode with the Sprint Booster still in race level 9 for a quick boost in performance.

The Sprint Booster stays on and retains its setting when you start the car unless you physical turn it off or adjust the level, however I have to keep setting my Genesis to ECO drive mode every time I start the car.
