Peeling Rims on 2023 Advanced

I am the second owner of my 2023 GV60 Advanced and started to notice the rims are starting to peel. Anyone experience this? The car only has $10K miles on it so its still under warranty. I'm hoping its covered.

All four of my rims are peeling. Will my warranty cover it? I have 17k miles.

Go here - Rims Peeling - yes I had the same, 3 out of 4 rims. Corrected by dealer, yes it was covered under warranty.

Hmm. the dealership said that the rims will be repaired IF the rims are covered by warranty.
I have a feeling they'll try their best to get out of reparing them.

Update: Dropped off my car this morning and they are replacing all 4 rims and both headlights as all of those items had peeling around it. All covered under warranty

Do you have a picture of the headlights peeling? Mine may are starting to do that and I’m curious how bad yours were for them to get replaced.

Sorry I don't. I can say up where the headlight meets the hood there was peeling all along the that top line. I didn't really notice it. I brought my car in for its first "service" and my service manager pointed it out and the rims

That’s what I’m seeing on mine as well. Did they say if the new headlights were made differently?

How long did it take Genesis to approve your warranty claim before you could drop it off with the dealer to perform the work? I brought mine in to show the dealer and initiate the warranty claim 2 weeks ago, but still haven't heard anything yet.

I hadn't heard of this yet but looked on mine today and possibly a small area looks like it might be peeling... so can you take a pic of yours?

That’s what I’m seeing on mine as well. Did they say if the new headlights were made differently?

They didn't but to be honest I didn't ask either.

How long did it take Genesis to approve your warranty claim before you could drop it off with the dealer to perform the work? I brought mine in to show the dealer and initiate the warranty claim 2 weeks ago, but still haven't heard anything yet.

It took a month for mine. The tires came in quickly but the two headlights were the reason for the delay.

Gez, when I was at the dealership 3 weeks ago, they said that new wheels and headlights will be ordered and replaced under warranty, and that they'll call on Monday of following week to confirm. It's now week 3 and I haven't got a call and didn't even get an answer when I called yesterday, and no call back either for my voice message.

As an update, I called again yesterday and the service person told me that Genesis still hasn't confirmed the warranty approval yet. Still waiting ...

I'm confused about how headlights can peel? Are we talking about the headlight, or the painted part of the body panel around the headlight?

For mine, it was where the clear lens meets the body of the assembly. I'll try to take a photo when I finish work today.
