  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Performance with 19” Rims

Congrats. Smart looking wheels. To me, much nicer than the OEM wheels.
What kind and size tires did you opt for?
Thanks, I am very happy with them. I went with Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrive 255/50R19

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I finally got the 19" rims on. Got them through tire rack, they came to work to install them for me. Super easy to pick and order, they look great and they smoothed out an already good ride. Thanks for the help.

I now have a perfect set of 21" performance rims and tires (2000 Miles on them) for sale in Los Angeles if anyone is interested. Going to put them up on Ebay for $2200 (The cost of my new set) but I would sell them cheaper to someone on here for $1800 (I will even ship them for you). The installer put regular valve stems in them but they are missing the TPMS because he moved them over to the new set.
That wheel design looks very similar to something we had on a prior vehicle.

It seems strange that they'd pull the TPMS sensors from one set to put on another. I suspect the additional labour and risk involved in multiple unnecessary tire re & res would negate any savings vs. a replacement set.
Though, it might make sense is if the buyer was putting them on some vehicle for which the OE sensors were incompatible.

When I checked out on tire rack they didn’t have the option of adding the tpms, maybe they were out?

I was wondering if going to 19" wheels will mess up the ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED SUSPENSION and ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL on the Performance trim or make them less effective.

No.
What‘s most important is that each corner has the same overall diameter. When you change wheel size, you also adjust tire width to maintain the same overall circumference.
