  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anybody ever tried personalizing the rear shade on a premium or tech pkg car? Just curious how hard it might be to remove the perforated shade, print something on it and then re-install it.

Also, once personalized, I'd need to replace it when I sell my car so I would need to buy a replacement and reverse the process.

Crazy question, but in parts of the city where I live, if you have a bumper sticker that expresses the "wrong" sentiment, you might well get keyed and this I could easily store out of sight when not driving the car.....

I've seen this before... perhaps youtube...

anyways an idea would be to remove and unroll...
spaypaint words on it like F U or "B T F O"

Yes, PP, that's what I was considering. Just curious if anyone else had done this to see how much of a PITA it would be. Also interested to know if you can buy just the perf shade or if you have to buy the whole motor, arms, etc to undo it later.

From the Hyundai parts sites I have reviewed, it looks like it comes as a $667 whole pkg, and is not sold separately.

Thanks

A couple of anger management sessions would likely be much less expensive.

Or, put one of these in your rear window and flash alternating messages like "Have a nice day!" and "Even Jesus wouldn't save you!"

While PMCErnie is probably right, I've done my best to bite my tongue for 4.5 years now and I just can't take another 3.5 years....

Perhaps something slightly less offensive.....like that little kid peeing on a Lexus. :)
