  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Pfffttt... Pfffttt... Pfffttt... Flutter Poll

I, too, have this issue. It occurs between 25-30+ mph and is felt as a vibration or "buffeting" in the front seat and arm rest. There is no sound with mine, it is only a sensation.

I have a 2020 3.8 AWD G80 with less than a 1000 miles. It has done this since the beginning. I'll have it looked at in the next week or two.

Yea...5.0 here and have that issue. Do not waste money on a shaft, a lot of people have reported it comes back.
The rubber coupler that joins the shafts is suspect, when the car is parked, it's hot and can be slightly twisted. Then on a following cool morning, it's cooled and in an uneven state. That can cause the vibration as the car is driven, the rubber is hard and heats up and get back into shape. This (IMO) is why the flutter / vibration goes away after a few miles.

I have the '19 G80 and I've never had / felt this. But, I park my car on a flat driveway, garage is insulated so it never drops below 55 or above 85 in the dead of my Texas summer.

This was arcman's original discovery and it makes sense to me.
