  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Philly to Louisville EV trip report

One of the reasons that I bought the GV60 over other EVs was specifically because of the legroom. I have spent time at the traveling auto shows just sitting in cars since it is easy to check out so many of them all at once. Unfortunately not as many EVs but that has gotten better the last few years.
I have a 6'11" golf buddy. When he retired and he and his wife decided they needed a truck, they had to get rid of her beloved Lexus NX in favor his BMW X4 because he couldn't fit in the NX. But then he tried my GV60 and he fit inside easily. Victor Wembanyama might have a problem but otherwise tall people fit nicely inside the gV60 (and, incidentally, so do small folks; I used to be 5'8" but my doctor says I am now 5'7"; either way I fit nicely inside the vehicle).

Your golf buddy and I are brothers from another mother. The world is not designed for people like us and we feel it every day in nearly everything we do. Don't get me started on public transportation - especially planes. I will take Amtrak as far as Boston from DC just to have a more comfortable experience vs. dealing with cramped seats and rude travelers.

I spent nearly a year researching and sitting in EVs and my first priority is "do I fit?" I don't have the luxury of getting picky. The GV60 was a dream because it checked all the boxes AND I fit...

Username checks out

Confession time, I gave the GV60 seating-recommendation another chance, and have stayed there since. I'm definitely sitting lower than before. Makes me feel short (tho I'm only 5' 11") but the headrest is at a great position. Will probably stay there. Thks to all who made me re-think it.

Lets just hope that Isaac Asimov is right and the three laws of robotics apply. As noted, my car is already telling me how to sit. Next, how to drive. Then where to drive to. Etc.💻
