  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello everyone, I just purchased a 2009 genesis 3.8. The phone button does not work when I push it in an Attempt to do the Bluetooth with my iPhone. I also push the voice command button and that doesn’t work either, could this be a fuse issue or worse a computer or electrical issue. If Anyone has experienced this issue please let me know I would greatly appreciate it thank you.

I'm on Android, but this sounds similar to the issues I was facing prior to the awesome Android Auto 2019 update this summer. Try voice button, hang up, and then voice again. This generally worked as a dirty hack, but I don't know why.

I don’t quite follow, What is it you mean by hang up?

On the steering wheel, you have the voice command button as well as a separate button that looks like a "old-style phone handset in its cradle", which can be used to end a voice command or to hang up phone calls. Push that button to end the voice command, and then try your voice command again. No guarantee it'll work, but something to try.
