  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

You sure she's not sitting in your back seat?

then i wont be able to drive the Genny

I don't know why the header says I don't own a Genny. I've got a 2011 sterling blue/cashmere 4.6. And I'm very happy with it.

I have the same problem when I have the call volume up too high. Have her turn down the volume and see if that helps.

Better yet, don't use your phone in the car. I haven't used mine yet (14+ months) and haven't experienced any of the related annoyances that seem to bother so many owners.

it stops doing that the last couple of days. I dont know why or pinpoint it down to what. We both have the iphone 4 so I can tell when she is calling me when she is in her car.

I have had the same problem with my Genesis from day 1. I have brought it to the dealer three times for the problem, but they say they have no idea what to do. When I initiate the call, there is almost always an echo. When the other person calls me right back, they always say the echo is no longer there. Has to be a problem with the car.

Try this test:
Make a call from the Genesis - and verify the call recipient hears the echo. Then scratch your fingernail over your PHONE's microphone - not the microphones in the Genesis. If the call recipient hears that, your phone is "listening" to its own microphone as well as the Genesis microphone via Bluetooth. That'll certainly cause echo.

Some phones have user menu settings that control how they operate with Bluetooth; make sure the phone's microphone is OFF when Bluetooth is operating.

On my cheapo LG phone, the Genesis Bluetooth works very well. Folks say they can't tell I'm in the car. No echo, no distortion (beyond the LG's normal distortion), and no issues with volume or background noise until a semi or rattle-trap car blows by.

Just don't call Steve Jobs, he will tell you your wife is not holding the steering wheel right!

TRY AND UPDATE THE IPHONE TO 4.3.1 VERISON ON ITUNES ...SEE IF THAT HELPS and pair the phone again to the car.
GOOD LUCK !
