  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I guess I'm having bad Bluetooth karma:
Today I noticed that when iPhone 5 is connected to Bluetooth, my alerts/sounds are silenced (text message, new VM, email, wake-up, etc.). When I realized I was missing alerts, I turned off Bluetooth and, Voila, sounds are there again. Anyone else? Thanks...this is a great community.

Its probably playing through Bluetooth audio

Depending on the Bluetooth data type sent by your phone for voicemail alerts and what-not, the car may not recognize those sounds as similar to phone rings that should interrupt whatever other audio is playing. Plus, the Bluetooth ring volume is separate from the other volume on the Genesis system; at least on the Tech packages. It's possible the Bluetooth ring event volume is zero even if volume for all other audio is turned up. While the phone is actually ringing, check/change the volume to adjust it. Then answer the phone.
