  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Well not that exciting since it was a replacement for my 2010 4.6 which was declared a total loss and this is what they upgraded me to a no additional cost. Even paid for the window tint and clear front mask.

Even though this is an Rspec the suspension is defiantly improved. There is a rather large dip on section of road being repaired which I travel every day and the 4.6 would dive into it. The Rspec takes it like a champ, almost Mercedes like. The harshness of small bumps is on par with the 2010 and not harsher as some here lead to believe. I have not pushed it yet as I got it today but the 8 speed is smooth as silk, no way would I return to the 6 speed. I hear there is more lag in the 8 speed but I am not racing Shelbys at every corner so I really could not give a hoot. :D

The shift lever is more solid feeling in a very nice way. The flasher noise has been updated along with some funky chime music when you shut her down. The new colour dash interface is a big improvement as well as the backup camera which seems almost high def now.

Any how, got her debadged, rebadged in about 30 mins. Much easier the second time around. ;) Still waiting for my black Rspec caliper covers and they were supposed to install the mud flaps but apparently none are available yet for the 2012? Still need to detail her but here are some pics none the less.

Awesome!
Thanks for the pics!

Where did u get your wheel badges?

What is the white shoebox with windows parked in the driveway next to the R SPEC?!!

Nice car! Same as mine, except I have the V-6 :o

Shhhh, you were not supposed to see that. Still a proto type classified top secret. However since you are a fellow Genny owner I will let you in on it. It is actually a very large dual turbo flux gate wheeled toaster. I hitch it to the Genny and I can make toast even when stuck in traffic. I have sold thousands of toast at great profit to many a stranded motorist. Just might go main stream with this. You want in???

Is the V8 stick-on AND the 5.0 badge a bit redundant? Hey I had a 4.9 L F-150 V6 but most know 5 liters are 8 cylinder engines.

I would center the 5.0 over the R Spec badge- looks off

Midnight- In on project toaster rocket!

Love the Silver R SPEC! Get the gloss black pillar covers- nice touch with tinted windows.

Actually The Volks R50 in the Tuareg was a 5 liter V10.

Toyota, BMW, Jaguar and Lamborghini have all produced 5 liter V12 engines.

May remove the 5.0 or centre it over the Rspec or maybe I will leave it. :welcome:

Love the color - what's with the "V8" badge in the back?

:sneaky:

Ditch the V8 logo and the 5.0 one as well

Bring the R spec logo up to the right side of the trunk lid -

The Genesis and R Spec logos are the only thing most people are going to see - unless they have a pretty fast car.

oh yeah....get the Secondary Cat Deletes from MotorSports Authority online.

Best investment - for a little over 100 bucks - you will pick up some horsepower and a little better sound under acceleration.

You got to get a K&N air filter too - trust me

And while we're on the subject - MagnaFlow will have their catback exhaust out this summer - so pick one up !!!

The mod craze never ends

If someone has an extra 5.0 badge they wanna get rid of... hit me up, I'll take it off your hands for a reasonable price ;)

Looks like it could be the camera angle not exactly centered on the car, but is that hood badge about 0.25" off center?

I double checked for the heck of it and by eye it looks pretty much dead on however if you actually drew a straight line it probably would look much better on the picture unless the bottom portion of my grill is out of wack also.

Are we all perfectionists? I noticed it to be off a bit originally too- but I already commented on the rear badges (:o)
If you adjust the red line on the bottom of the center spine which is slightly left of center- then the WING badge is only about 1/8 off dead center

Talk about picky. Geeesh, do you guys centre to the thou or what? Personally I can't see it so thats all that counts. Thanks for looking out for me though. :grouphug:

I think it's centered but there's a slight angle to the picture. The car looks great to me.
