  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Picked up my Rspec Today.

Car looks great. The 5.0 and R Spec are in the original location. I think it looks good offset like it is, but that's just me.

Can't say I really care for the front emblem or the V8 one, but then again, it's not my car so I won't be nit picky.

I've done the rest of the wing badges as you, including the wheel centers. Or should I say, the dealer did it before I ever went and looked at the car. ;)

I'm still debating weather to remove the Genesis from the rear or not.

Obviously I do also and this is why it is what it is. This is very personal and everyone has a different opinion. I did move things around a little, the V8 was also on my previous 4.6 and had a spare in the closet so figured I would try it out. Funny because on 2 occasions at a stop light I was asked if I really had a V8 in a Hyundai. My response is, yep, 385 hp to be exact. New response will be 429 hp. :D

Did the dealer do the paint job on the grille??? What, if anything, was done to get good adhesion between the paint and the chrome finish??

Curious as it really makes the front look sharp-------and I would do it if I can ever get a 5.0 in the Cabernet red.

this grill color above is the OEM color on ALL genesis sedans, and it matches the silver sedan.

I had mine painted to match and you can look at many pictures on the link below from myself and other members that had their grill painted. Thanks to MADMOE. Had mine painted at my local body shop $250

As mentioned nothing was done to the grill. Stock colour which looks great on the Titanium. ;)

If someone has an extra 5.0 badge they wanna get rid of... hit me up, I'll take it off your hands for a reasonable price ;)

No ..No ....you want to REMOVE the 5.0 from the back of your car

along with the V8 logo

Move the R Spec badge up to the right side of the trunk lid - just below

( and to the right ) of the Genesis wing

Like I said - all you need is the R Spec logo and the genesis wing on the back of the car.

If you mod it - cat deletes - K&N filter - Magnaflow

you will have about 450+ hp on tap -

Most drivers will only get a look at the back of your car anyway

Ask me how I know :D

If this is what I was looking for then I would have shelled out about $10,000 more and bought a Shelby GT500. The Genny has no chance in hell against this beast. 0-60 in 3.6 @ 550hp/510lbs.

One thing I did have on the 4.6 was a lorinser emblem on the fenders. I can't count the times people were trying to read this when beside me. :D Thing is the one I had was rather small and the way it was made was very difficult to read. I knew what was written and had problems myself but that was the fun part. :D Did look cool though and may add again. Can be seen here in my accident thread. http://genesisowners.com/hyundai-genesis-forum/showthread.php?t=9209

On the totalled 4.6 you said the computer which cost $10K was damaged. Where the heck does Hyundai put it? In front of the radiator? I couldn't see any damage in the engine compartment beyond that.

Actually I never took the time to see where it was however the estimator commented on what a dumb place to put it. I assume somewhere between the bumper and the rad.
