  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Less than 150 miles on the ODO and 20" Work Varianza D3S wheels are already on the car!!!!!!
Spec on the wheels,
20x8.5 +40 Big caliper dish, 245 35 20
20x9.5 +43 Regular dish, 255 35 20
There is more tire noise, most noticable at 40-50mph with the windows down. At freeway speed, it goes away for some reason. My steering wheel does not shake so I know it is not balance issue. Also, the TPMS light is now on. I wonder what can I do to turn it off. I don't really care for that feature anyway.

No I did not. I'll take a picture when I have a chance, so tired and I gotta work early.

Nice! The wheels fit the car, great choice Nice pictures too thanks for posting!! Love the wing on the Steering Wheel!

I think the factory rims look better, but we all have different taste though.:o
Not to mention that my back hurts just looking at those 35 aspect ratio tires.

Nice wheels. You mention the road noise and lack of vibration. But I have to ask, how is the ride suspension wise with that 45/55, 35 combo?

It is still very good, I have no complain when it comes to that. I don't notice much different vs stock wheels over bums and potholes.

Beautiful car! Thanks for the info on the manufacturing date. I was also wondering what the last 5 digits of your VIN# are. I'm curious because many of the Genesis cars in my area (on dealer lots) seem to have numbers still in the 20's and 30's, meaning I think they were manufactured quite a while ago. I've seen a few cars in the upper 40's, lower 50's (I'm talking the last five digits) and I'm trying to guess when they might have been manufactured.......Also, I assume your new 4.6 has the all black interior with black leather dash instead of the saddle brown color???

Cintimmel, the manufactured date is right on the drivers side door jam. Rather than trying to derive it from the VIN you might be able to just open the door and look at the sticker. I realize some dealers lock the cars on the lot, but you can always ask them for the keys.

hope this helps!

I've been following inventories of several dealerships in my area via their websites, so I haven't actually visited specific dealerships to look on the door jam. I was just trying to get a general idea of when certain serial numbers were manufactured. But, I may resort to visiting them soon to find out. I'm hoping to purchase sometime in the next 1-2 months.

That's pretty good. I thought you might experience a harsher ride in those lower profile tires, which I assume are summer tires made with a firmer, less giving rubber.

gotta go chrome, no brushed alloy on a 40k large luxury sedan imo. but the black on black is the best combo thats the genny has...cabernet and black is fierce too.

Not in one million years I would go with all chrome wheels. I HATE it. This is brushed aluminum dish on polished lip. I'm going with more agressive set up for more deeper polished lips once there are coilovers for the Gen. I then could roll and shave down my fender to get the maximum offsets for the most lips action.
