  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Having owned both the 1st Generation and now owning the second Generation Genesis, is there anything on the 1st that you prefer over the 2nd Generation Genesis? Other than the Grill :D

What is the best thing you like on the 2nd over the 1st Generation ?

I really liked the color better :D Titanium gray was/is one of the best exterior color I ever had.

Seriously....I'm glad I switched to 2G. I hesitated long enough, reading those "horror stories" about shaking wheels, sunroof rattle (those were actually things that held me most) and about a hundred other small things our members are complaining about it, lol. So far nothing is happening...car drives smooth as silk and everything is quiet.

The suspension, compare to 1G is much improved! car doesn't pull to the side like 1G does. When you go over a small potholes or uneven pavement, you can't feels it on the steering wheel. It doesn't try to rip the steering wheel out of your hands, like 1G does sometimes, lol.

All in all, no regrets yet.

Of course, there are always some +/- people will like or not. I try not to get used to those electronic gizmos as much as I can. I am old skool driver ;)

Oh.....and I think that the best thing over 1G is the driver seat! believe me, its very comfortable!
I remember, when I bought my Rspec, I started complaining about the seat right away.....and the wife said: oh well, get used to it now. :D

Now I'm happy camper ;)

Tramlining has as much to do with tires as the mechanicals in the 0.5 Gen. Dunlops were horrible for this. Michelin (pilot super sports) had almost no tramlining in my '09. The 2012 does not tramline at all with squishy Michelin MXV4s.
