Smoke translucent plasti dip is a pretty close match to the original dark chrome trims. $20 and In my opinion it looks way better than stock.

I'm assuming you left the badge on the car while doing this? What parts of the badge did you not tape over?

Yep, you leave them on, tape about an inch around it then peel off all around the badges. I sprayed the full thing and only removed the centre of the Genesis badge. It fits way better with the dark chrome trims.

How does it hold up to car washes and wiping the car down with a towel?

Yes the dark chrome trim on the darker colors like Black, A.blue, M. Blue and the H. Red stands out even more So I added a coat of Vintage Gold Metalzer to get look I wanted. It took a couple of tries . Bottom picture is final version .View attachment 32136d Took a couple of tries but ymmv lol
